Eric Bowers
Eric is a Colorado Springs native and the product of an entrepreneurial family. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado, he embarked upon a career as a CPA with a focus on helping business owners. Eric is a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP®) and specializes in working with construction contractors and labor union organizations. When not at the office, you can find him with his family, serving his Church, enjoying a finely crafted beer, at the racetrack, or in the shop welding.
Tom O’Neal
Tom has been a CPA since 1997 and specializes in tax and estate planning, business consulting services and business valuation services. Tom is active in the community and has worked with many small businesses in a variety of industries during his career. In addition to providing tax and business consulting services, he has served as an expert witness in various court actions for his expertise in tax and accounting issues and has provided forensic accounting to local attorneys in support of fraud cases. Tom is the patriarch of a BMX racing family and enjoys spending time with his family at the track and tinkering with the race bikes in his forever search for a little extra speed.
Dona Bryant
Dona has worked in the financial industry for many years and is a Colorado Springs native. While working as a local bank officer, she attended college and earned her MBA. In her spare time, she enjoys attending Denver Bronco games, reading books, and playing video games in her home game room.
Cain Hartley
Colorado Springs native Cain Hartley has built a strong foundation in the field of accounting. After attending Colorado State University and earning his accounting degree from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, Cain has developed a diverse skill set in both tax and audit classifications. His career combines a passion for financial accuracy with the ability to tackle complex projects across multiple areas of the accounting field. When he’s not working, Cain can often be found enjoying the great outdoors, whether it’s fly fishing in one of Colorado’s many scenic rivers or pursuing his love of hunting. His deep ties to the community and personal dedication to balance make Cain a well-rounded professional with a passion for both his career and his hobbies.
Fran Robles, CPA
Fran is a Louisiana native who fell in love with the Rocky Mountains as a child. She specializes in tax preparation and planning and has served multiple industries, including real estate, healthcare, and oil and gas. Fran has a heart for small business and for that reason joined BowersO’Neal in January 2024. In her off-time, Fran enjoys hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, mountain climbing, kayaking, visual arts, live music, and DIY projects. The only thing she treasures more than these is her family. Fran has one daughter, who was born in Glenwood Springs and is now grown. She is both a cat and a dog person and loves every part of the animal kingdom, including the wildlife of Colorado. Fran graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University and has been a CPA since
2013.

MeLissa Rocco
MeLissa Rocco is a Colorado native with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in tax preparation and planning for individuals and small businesses and values building relationships with her clients. She has worked in firms and corporations both Colorado and the San Francisco Bay Area and has also owned and
operated small businesses of her own. Outside of the office, MeLissa enjoys spending time with her son and ferrying him to a variety of activities to include a variety of seasonal sports with Special Olympics where she serves as an assistant coach as needed. MeLissa is also an active member at her church and assists with the youth group. MeLissa also enjoys singing, reading, crocheting, and baking at home.
Larry Shughart
Larry was born in Colorado Springs and grew up in Monument. He attended Western State College in Gunnison, Metropolitan State College in Denver and Regis College in Denver. During his college career a special emphasis was placed on accounting and business administration. He has worked for various private companies and public accounting firms. He is a Certified Public Accountant and specializes in tax and accounting. He has been involved in different industries such as retail, restaurants, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction and homeowner’s associations. Larry was in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.
Kendra Willson
Kendra is a Colorado native who recently rejoined the professional world as part of the BowersO’Neal team. After a rewarding few years at home raising her three children, she is ready to apply her financial skills to serve our clients. Outside the office, Kendra stays active within her church community and is an avid runner with a particular passion for early morning runs with friends. During the summer, you’ll likely find her and her family camping in the mountains and exploring the vast landscapes of Colorado and the surrounding states.
